A new tank for my British infantry! After a platoon of Shermans, now it is the time for a Churchill tank. The model comes from an Airfix kit. It was not very simple to build, in particular there are too much wheels and you have to glue it one by one: very boring! Certainly the Hasegawa kit is simplier, since the wheels come all in one single piece; I will post some comments on this model as soon as I will finish it.
The only improvements respect the plastic kit are the two antennas, obtained from a very old but effective technique: a plastic tree piece is heated on a candle and stretched until a very thin line is obtaind. Paint it by gunmetal and that's it!
The scheme colour is the same used for the Shermans:
- base: US Dark Green (Vallejo 893);
- first highlight: 50% US Dark Green + 50% Dark Sand (Vallejo 847);
- second highlight: 20% US Dark Green + 80% Dark Sand.
