WW2 German Army

I break the silence after more than one year with a couple of WW2 German squads. First of all, there is a Platoon Command Squad, with an officer (major or captain), NCO and some privates (including a medic). Then, there is an HMG support squad: team leader, gunner and two assistants.
The miniatures are devoted to skirmish games relevant to the beginning phases of WW2 (Poland, Norway, France, Russia), so the painting is oriented to a more greenish uniform:
- base: German fieldgrey (Vallejo 830);
- highlight: drybrush with mixture of base + dark sand (Vallejo 847);
- shadow: black wash.
Simple and fast painting technique: wash and drybrush.
The painting of the personal equipment is very detailed:
- webbing and boot: black
- bread bag and tool handle: khaki (Vallejo 988)
- gun stock and bottle cover: flat earth (Vallejo 983)
- gasmask tin, canteen: German grey ( Vallejo 995)
- cook pot: boltgun metal (GW)
- zelthbahn base: khaki (Vallejo 988)
- zeltabahn camo: flat brown (Vallejo 984) and Russian green (Vallejo 894)
The figures come basically from Revell WW2 German Infantry box, adding some Italeri figures and including a couple of modifications.
Comments are welcome. Enjoy!!!
